Dear Parents of High School Students,
We would like to take this opportunity to explain how students will continue to access their coursework during the state-mandated school closure. Teachers have provided instructions to students on how to access electronic materials. Common platforms include Google Classroom, Moodle, online textbooks, Khan Academy and email. Students have accessed these sites previously. The expectation is that your student checks these sites regularly, as it is an opportunity for instruction to continue. Teachers will continue to communicate with students during this closure.
If you have questions, please email your child’s teacher directly or the building administrators. If you are experiencing a technology-related issue, please put in a tech ticket at: http://support.highlandschools.org/hesk/ or contact the Technology Department at 330-239-1901, ext. 5500.
The instructional resources can be accessed on most home devices. If you do not have a home device, please fill out the following form: https://forms.gle/Vo7HVLJnDAZCoEFw6.
If you are unable to complete the form online, please call 330-239-1901, ext. 1260.
We will work to distribute devices, for loan, on an as-needed basis during this state-mandated closure.
Chromebook distribution and pick-up will occur at Highland High School, lower level, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. beginning on Monday, March 16. Parents must pick up the Chromebooks for their students in order to sign the liability agreement. Devices will not be available for distribution prior to Monday, March 16.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
