Beth Hall has joined the Highland Local School District as Assistant Principal at Sharon Elementary School, effective August 1. The Board of Education welcomed Mrs. Hall during their June 28 regular meeting. In this newly created position due to the increased enrollment at Sharon Elementary, Mrs. Hall will work alongside a dynamic staff, led by Principal Katie Kowza.
Mrs. Hall has nearly 15 years’ experience in education and administration, including her most recent role as principal at Midview West Elementary School. Previously she served at Midview High School and Lee Eaton Elementary School (Nordonia Hills City School District) each for two years as assistant principal.
Mrs. Hall, who began her career as a social studies teacher at Nordonia Middle School, earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Bowling Green University. She went on to earn a Master of Science in Education, Principal Certificates (elementary and middle) and Superintendent’s License all from the University of Akron.
Superintendent Catherine Aukerman said she is confident that Mrs. Hall’s experience both in the classroom and as a principal will be a great benefit to the District. “She is a motivated and energetic individual who is focused on creating an outstanding learning environment for students. I am certain that she will complement Mrs. Kowza’s leadership style, as they work in tandem to positively impact the students, staff and families at Sharon Elementary School.”
