Congratulations to Highland High School seniors Nicole Babik and Connor Klein who have been selected as the Medina County Kiwanis May Students of the Month.
Nicole is a Peer Leader and DARE Role Model, as well as a member of the National Honor Society, Student Council, Camerata Orchestra and Varsity Tennis Team at HHS.
Nicole enjoys volunteering her time at Safety Town and 6th Grade Camp, as well as at the Granger Fire Station and Holy Martyrs Church. While she is active in many extracurricular activities, she remains an academic standout. She is a scholar athlete and is involved in numerous AP and College Credit Plus classes. She is the daughter of Mark and Janine Babik of Granger Township. Nicole plans to attend a four-year university and obtain a degree in middle childhood education with a minor in counseling psychology.
Connor has been busy over the past four years at HHS as a member of the Varsity Soccer and Basketball teams, Wind Ensemble, Student Council, National Honor Society, Spanish Club, Principal’s Advisory Committee and is a Peer Leader.
He has assisted with the Highland Youth Soccer program for the past four years and volunteers for the Divinity Lutheran Church Youth Group. In addition, he has participated in the Get Your G.R.I.T. leadership training, Empower Sports and Students for Impact.
A scholar athlete, Connor is the son of Chris and Melanie Klein of Hinckley Township. He plans to attend college upon his graduation from Highland and study engineering.
