Biography:
Mrs. Stacie Rastok
I welcome you to Hinckley Elementary. As the principal of the building, I am proud of our dedicated staff and responsible students. My goal is to treat each child as an individual and to help each child accept the differences and respect the unique talents of others.
I grew up in the area that is now the Cuyahoga Valley National Park and am a nature lover by heart. This is depicted in my passion for hiking the parks and gardening. I hold a Bachelors Degree from the University of Akron in elementary and special education. I earned my Masters Degree from the University of Akron in Special Education and completed coursework for my administrative certificates from Ashland University.
I have worked in public education for many years. I have taught Learning Disability Resource programs at the elementary and high school levels. I operated a pre-school for several years while my own children were young. Coming to Highland as a teacher at Sharon Elementary, I taught first and second graders and was named the Medina County Teacher of the year.
Pursuing the administrative avenue, I became an Educational Consultant at the Medina County Educational Service Center. I served as Principal of Overlook Elementary in the Wadsworth Schools for 5 years and as Principal of Highland Middle School for one year. This will be my second year at Hinckley. I am excited by the renovations and changes in the district.
My husband is a Project Engineer in the tire industry. We have two grown children. Adrienne is a Middle School Science teacher in Medina City and Brandon a construction engineer with Ruhlin Co. My "baby" at home is my yellow Labrador, "Bentley".
I am available to discuss the education of your children at Hinckley. Please contact me if you have questions or comments about our school.
