For the Week of May 13, 2013

Spelling: Your child will be tested on his/her list of words.   

 English: Working punctuation, capitalization, common and proper noun review

Writing:

Handwriting:  We are finished learning all the letters of the alphabet. Everything in class will now be written in cursive unless specified. The children are very excited about this.

Reading:Out unit 6 is called Thinking It Over. We are learning about "What's Important" in our stories we read. Ask you child to bring home the book for you to see all the exciting things we are reading and learning.

Math: Finished Unit 9: Multiplication and Division. We are beginning unit 10: Measurement and Data. We will learn about liquid measurements and more. We are still working on our timed tests. Party at the end of the month

Social Studies:

Science: We are working in Earth Science. We are learning about rocks, minerals, and soil.
