Sharon Elementary currently has 454 students in kindergarten-fifth grades. Sharon also has programs to serve students with special needs including learning disabilities, speech development problems and reading difficulties.

Sharon has several extracurricular programs for students including a band and choir. Each school year, several 5th grade students are chosen to be a part of the Student Leadership Group. Throughout the year, these 5th graders help to organize a variety of service projects, food and clothing drives. Sharon also has a Photography Club for 4th grade students. These young photographers take snapshots of school activities that are used in the yearbook and special community presentations.

The Sharon Elementary school building underwent major renovations during the summer of 2003. New lockers, windows, lights and floor tiles were installed. Another beautiful feature is our outdoor garden. Thanks to grants and donations, Sharon students, staff members and parents have created a beautiful green space behind the building. Our garden includes a butterfly habitat, an herb garden, vegetables, flowering plants, benches and a pavilion. Each year, new plants and fixtures are added.
