      Hinckley Students Host Wax Museum

Fifth graders at Hinckley Elementary hosted a Wax Museum for students and visitors on May 16. The students worked over the course of one month researching, writing and practicing their presentations as they dressed in full costume to represent an individual whom they thought made a positive contribution to the world. A special thanks to the 5th grade teachers who helped to prepare the students for this event.

      When Life Hands You Lemons...
It was a packed house as family and friends enjoyed the Hinckley 1st and 2nd Grade Musical on April 25 in the Hinckley Gym. The musical was focused on the characters of several nursery rhymes and attempted to teach and remind us how a very bad day or series of events can be made better with the right outlook and attitude. A festive day of parades and lemonade stands was interrupted by a cast of characters with a lot of problems. It took the wisdom and cheerfulness of Mother Goose to remind them that kindness, glee, compassion and love, when taken and shared in large dosages, can be a winning recipe that is able to turn even the very worst of days into lives of joy.  It takes a change of heart and a positive attitude to turn gray times bright or lemons into lemonade.
