The 2008 Summer Sports Camp Brochure for Highland area residents incorrectly lists the dates for the Summer Boys Baseball Camp. This camp will be held from Monday, July 21 – Thursday, July 24 in the baseball field behind Granger Elementary. The original dates listed: Monday, July 14- Thursday, July 17 are wrong. A Hinckley Book Fair will take place on March 1 and 2 at the Barnes & Noble Store in Montrose. Just click on the title of this story, print out the voucher, and bring it up to the register when you make your purchase. A percentage of any purchase made with a voucher will benefit the school's reading program.

Spring Play: ZAP!

Be sure to catch ZAP! The Highland Players will perform in this hilarious comedy on Thursday, March 13, Friday, March 14 and Saturday, March 15 at 7 p.m. in the Highland High School Auditorium. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students. Senior citizens are free. This play is built on the premise that the audience has access to a remote and can change the channel to view six different plays within a play: an English mystery, a Shakesperian drama, a Neil Simon-type comedy, avant garde theater, a southern show and a performance monologue. Things get zany at ZAP!, a show for all ages!

In May and June of 2007, the Communication Research Center at Cleveland State University conducted a comprehensive survey of Highland Local School District residents. They were asked about their opinions of the district, school administrators, taxes and more.

The Highland Local School District has once again been ranked an "Excellent" district by the Ohio Department of Education. Highland is one of only 22 districts in the Ohio to earn that designation for eight years in a row. Check out the Highland State Report Card.
