October 14th Book Fair PDF Print E-mail
Highland High School, in conjunction with Barnes & Noble, will sponsor a Book Fair, open to all parents and students, on Wednesday, October 14 from 4-7:30 p.m. during the HHS conference night. Students may pick up pre-ordered books or select from other titles on display that evening. Titles will include adult and teen best sellers, required school reading and general interest novels.
 
Matress Sale Fundraiser PDF Print E-mail
The Highland High School Speech and Debate Team will hold a Mattress Sale Fundraiser from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, October 10 in the high school cafeteria, located at 4150 Ridge Road in Medina. Mattresses will be available at 40% to 60% off of retail prices. All sizes and name brands will be available with factory warranties. Pillowtop, orthopedic and memory foam. Setup and delivery is available. Cash, checks and credit cards will be accepted. Proceeds from the sale will benefit the Highland Speech and Debate Team.
 
Boys Soccer Benefit PDF Print E-mail
Dinner to Benefit Highland Boys Soccer Team
The Highland High School Boys Soccer Team will host its Annual Homecoming Pasta Dinner on Friday, October 2 from 5-6:30 p.m. The dinner will be held in the high school cafeteria. Tickets are $6 for children ages 12 and under and $8 for ages 13 and over. Tickets are available for purchase at all home football games and home soccer games or by calling Missy Stroup at 330-239-1911. The dinner is being catered by Santosuossos' Pizza and Pasta. A free shuttle service will be offered to interested individuals from the pasta dinner to the Highland homecoming football game. All proceeds will benefit the Highland Boys Soccer Team.
 
High School Trip to Costa Rica PDF Print E-mail
"A Touch of the Tropics"
December 16-24, 2009

Highland High School science teachers Jodi Rain & Kristine Nerlich will be taking a group of students to Costa Rica in December. The group will be traveling throughout Costa Rica and experience some amazing geographical sites, such as the Rainforest in the Clouds. Traveling throughout the country will give the students an opportunity to explore many biomes and ecosystems that are not available to them in the United States.

Students will also experience:
-- Canopy hike in the rainforest with zipline adventure
-- Kayaking in Arenal Lake
-- A day in the natural hot springs generated from a volcano
-- A day on the coast

The trip is open to HHS students in grades 9-12, alumni, staff and parents of Highland students. Registration deadline: OCT. 5, 2009. ** Passports are required for this trip and need to arrive by Sept. 15 **

This year’s Highland Pride Golf Scramble is slated for Sunday, October 4, 2009. Shotgun start is at 11:30 a.m. Please make a note that the event will be held at the Blue Heron Golf Club, 3225 Blue Heron Trace in Medina.
