Students are able to participate in a number of enrichment activities, such as Power of the Pen, Drama Club, Chess Club, Newspaper Staff, Art Show, Solo and Ensemble contests, Ink Spot, and Student Council. Also, each quarter, students are recognized on the honor and merit rolls.
Student of the Month
To recognize students who consistently demonstrate outstanding performance, the Student of the Month award was created. Each month three students, one from each grade, are recognized.
"Student of the Month" is awarded by teachers based upon exemplary performance in a number of criteria including but not limited to:
- Demonstration of good citizenship
- Ability to complete work and assignments
- Willing to follow through with commitments
- Demonstration of positive leadership qualities
- Commitment to good attendance

The Honor and Merit Rolls
Each grading period students earn recognition for their academic performance. Students are placed on the Honor Roll by achieving a 3.5 or greater grade-point average. Students with a 3.0 - 3.499 GPA earn Merit Roll recognition. Names of students achieving this academic distinction are posted in the school, on the district web page and are sent to local newspapers.
