The Stinger is a monthly newspaper produced by HMS students in grades 6th – 8th grade. The paper provides the opportunity for students to have an outlet for their writing, artwork, and interests. We have monthly after-school planning meeting and meet before school once a week. The schedule is flexible but the deadlines are important. Writers and photographers for the paper experience the real life experience of meeting deadlines and seeing a paper move from the idea stage to the actual monthly publication.
