A. Music--over one third of student body participates in either vocal or instrumental music
  • A Capella choir: scheduled class with performances at various times throughout the year
  • Added Attraction: 12-voice audition only jazz choir, co- curricular class for actual class credit
  • Band
  • Concert band: co-curricular band after football season
  • Wind ensemble: made up of wind instruments only
  • Marching band: starts during summer with band camp, marches at football games in fall
  • Jazz ensemble: audition only instrumental jazz band
  • Chorale: 32-voice audition only choir
  • Chorus: women's only, co-curricular
B. Clubs
  • Convolutions: academic challenge team, fall tryouts
  • Foreign language clubs: promotes interest in foreign language cultures, customs and history
  • French, German, Spanish, Latin
  • Green Club: students concerned with environmental issues
  • Little Sis: group of female students who support each individual male athlete in wrestling and baseball
  • National Honor Society: encourages qualities of character, scholarship, leadership and service; selected from those students with high enough GPA's in January of their Sophomore, Junior or Senior year
  • Pep Club: promotes spirit for athletes by decorating school and preparing pep rallies
  • Speech Team
  • Student Council: student government, officers elected by student body
  • SADD: Students Against Drunk Driving. Volunteer organization that plans drug and alcohol awareness programs
  • Ski Club: Students ski at Boston Mills one night a week
  • Theatre: Students try-outs held prior to performances. Includes actors, actresses, stage managers, set builders, lighting crew, prop people, etc.
  • Thespian Club: Requirements include previous theatrical experience.
  • Volunteers:
            a. Office Aides: Student works in the office during study halls
            b. Guidance Workers: Students work in guidance office during study hall
            c. Library Helpers: Students assist in library during study hall
            Yearbook: Students must apply, be accepted, and sign up for for the co-curricular class
