ONLY THE RESIDENTIAL OR LEGAL CUSTODIAN/GUARDIAN OF THE CHILD MAY ENROLL THE CHILD IN SCHOOL. Parents, legal custodians/guardians need to enroll their child(ren) in school in the building(s) which the child(ren) will be attending. Enrollment is by appointment, and all steps must be completed before a student may attend Highland Local Schools. School contact information can be found at the bottom of the page.
This is a simple process. To the right under ‘enrollment steps’ you will find a records release request form, an enrollment process checklist, medical action plans (if applicable) and a link to FinalForms. Please follow this link to create or access your FinalForms account.
FinalForms is an on-line program which will enable you and your student(s) to complete and file MOST forms electronically. After the initial inputting of information, this program will save time. All parents of Highland students are required to use this program. The custodial Parent or Guardian must have a valid email address. The #1 contact in FinalForms will be the number used for School Messenger, our parent notification system. It is then up to the parents to keep their child's information updated, plus your student's information will carry over from year to year.

|Kindergarten Registration is 3/8
If you have a child who will begin kindergarten this August, parents should mark their calendars for Thursday, March 8. Registration will be held at each elementary school from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1-4 p.m. Highland’s program consists of an all day, every day model. In order to register, a child must be 5 years old by September 30, 2018. The following items are needed at the time of registration: personal identification with a picture I.D., proof of residency, the child’s original birth certificate or passport, child’s complete immunization records, and certified custody papers (if applicable). Please register your child through FINALFORMS on the website at https://highlandmedina-oh.finalforms.com/. You may bring printed/completed forms to help expedite the process at registration.
Highland Local Schools offers a pre-school program for typically-developing three, four and five year old children. The half-day pre-school program is located at Granger Elementary School and runs Monday through Thursday. Cost is $130 per month. Change in Immunization Requirements
As a result of the passage of Senate Bill 121 (signed into law by the Governor last October), immunization requirements now include inoculation against meningitis. The Ohio Department of Health has issued details about the new Meningococcal immunization requirements beginning with the start of the 2016-17 school year.
