Highland Seeks Renewal Levy May 8

Dear Highland Parents and Community Members,
Highland Schools will asking voters to renew a 7.9-mill operating levy first approved in 1998 for operating expenses. This is a RENEWAL ONLY, which means NO NEW TAXES. The passage of this renewal is critical for the day-to-day operation of our school district. If renewed for another 10 years, the levy would cost homeowners $155 a year per $100,000 of property valuation, and generate about $4.15 million annually for the district, the same as it does now. The 7.9-mill levy on the books expires at the end of this year. MORE FACTS
