Highland Middle School 8th grade math students participated in the annual Pi Day Memorization Contest on March 14. Students in Mrs. Anna Taylor's classes celebrated the day of a famous irrational number, pi, the quotient of a circle’s circumference and diameter. Students memorized as many digits as they could to compete for a real pie. Congratulations to the following students who won a pie for their outstanding effort: Elijah Hadler with 259 digits memorized; Nandini Pande with 158 digits; and Ethan Miller with 97 digits.
